As the sun hit the horizon, silence struck the forest, the sunlight began to fade and the scene seemed mellow. Dark clouds filled the sky as it was nearing the month of July…… There were no sounds……no calls……. no langur chatter and no barbet coot…………..not even the sound of the wind was audible. The silence was killing and the doomsday clock had began to tick..……………..

But then the sound of rustling leaves shattered the silence, the sound however seemed to echo….. the wind started to blow and the whole setting became dreamy. While the echoes bought confusion they also got with them a ray of hope…… the last rays of sunlight broke through the darkness of the clouds and then…………. emerged the ghastly beast, from the dark thickets……. we stood in astonishment. No calls, no signs but out of the darkness there he was……….. the direct sunlight cast a shadow on his eyes and the orange light made him burn bright………….the jungle had tricked us………….but in the best way possible…………. it gave us a glimpse of its prince. The prince of Kanha, the future of Kanha.
