Ranthambhore gets its name from the 1000 year old fort complex perched atop a hill adjoining the park. What is now a National Park was once a private hunting reserve of former Maharaja of Jaipur. The Royals held large hunting parties for their guests and for visiting British Generals and officers. In the 1960s, Queen Elizabeth II even visited Ranthambhore for a winter shoot. Former President of USA, Bill Clinton was also on safari in Ranthambhore during his Indian visit.
Located at the foothills of the Aravali Hills, Ranthambore covers an area of 1334 sq. km. which host a high density of predators such as Tigers, Leopards, Sloth Bears, Jackals and Foxes. Herbivores include Sambar, Nilgai, Chital Deer, Wild Boar, Indian Antelope and many more. It is also home to over 250 species of birds. The landscape consists of Dry deciduous forests, hills and grasslands. It’s famous lakes are the perfect spots for amazing encounters with Tigers while on safari and has been the set and back drop to a number of documentaries produced by BBC and National Geographic.
Our tour will be for 4 nights and 5 days, with 7 safaris, two masterclasses, one visit to the fort, daily hands on learning about tracking, birding, conservation and photography along with lots of fun, laughter and adventure. And what better place to do this than the world famous Ranthambore National Park
On this incredible itinerary, you can be rest assured that you would be looking for not just Tigers, but other wildlife too in the park with one of the area’s most experienced guides and drivers. They know the park like the other side of their palm and tracking tigers is their daily routine.

Other focuses of this tour is learning about conservation, tracking, birding, identifying different species, reading the forest and most importantly learning animal behavior.
Enjoy a fresh welcome drink and settle into your rooms by the afternoon followed by a meet and greet with me and other members of the group in the evening.
I will then have a detailed presentation on Ranthambore National Park along with what to expect on a #SafariWithSuyash experience. I will also seek to understand what you want to get out of this trip.
Prior to the trip we will do two photography masterclasses virtually. This will set you up for the upcoming safaris, where you will delve deeper into the core principles, tips, and tricks of photography – all the while receiving hands-on training from me. Don’t worry if you do not own a camera. You can take some incredible shots with your smart phone and I will show you exactly how. During the entire trip, I will share the best way to approach and photograph the subjects and give deeper insights on their behavioral aspects.
In between safaris you will have time to relax or sit with me to go over the day’s photographs and receive feedback on them. My entire focus will be on you all, so you can literally bother me with anything and everything you like.

Every morning, we will leave for our first safari by 5:30 AM … I know it’s early, but I promise it will be worth it… it’s BIG CAT TIME!!
You will return from the safari around by 10:00 AM where a full array of breakfast will be waiting for you. We will eat as a group and share safari stories. After breakfast you will have time to relax or jump into the pool, use the gym or spa, or attend one on one sessions / small group sessions with me.
We will be leaving for the afternoon drive at 3:00 pm and returning around 7:30 pm

Ideal Flight Timings
We recommend that you book any flight which arrives in Jaipur before 2:00 pm on the day that the tour begins and any flight that leaves after 5:00 pm on the day that the tour ends.
Weather/Temperature:
The weather during June is very hot and dry. Temperatures can reach up to 45 degrees celsius in the afternoons.
What to pack?
Practical colors to wear to the park are khaki, beige and white in all seasons. Please avoid bright and flashy clothing and strong perfumes/deodorant. It is advisable not to wear sandals or shorts during nature walks

Equipment Recommendation
If you are simply coming to enjoy the beauty of the national park and learn more about wildlife from Suyash, then you don’t need to bring any equipment with you.
If you are coming on this trip to learn photography then you are strongly recommended to bring your own camera. We suggest brining a combination lenses, such as a zoom lens as well as a wide-angle lens. Super telephoto lenses are also excellent. If you would like to rent any equipment, please contact Suyash in advance.
Smartphones are also very handy these days and Suyash can train you on the best way to use them.
Food Allergies:
If you are allergic to any food items, kindly inform at the time of the booking. A delectable spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served at Sawai Vilas.

Please ensure that you are carrying a Government issued photo ID with you at all times during your travel.
For foreign nationals, a valid passport and visa is required for travel to India and entry into the National Park
Medical Facilities
Ranthambore National Park is located in a very remote region of India with the nearest hospital being 3.5 hours away in Jaipur.
Expecting mothers, patients with heart conditions and any other health ailment that require constant medical attentions are advised not to travel.
