What we can see, we can love,
and what we can love, we will fight to protect.
Hi! I'm Suyash Keshari
WILDLIFE FILMMAKER, CONSERVATIONIST,
AND THE FOUNDER OF AMELIYA SAFARIS
I’ve spent the past decade living out my dream, immersed in India and Africa’s wild landscapes, observing wild animals, walking the same trails as them, studying them, and yes, sometimes even mimicking them (if we ever meet, ask me to do a langur monkey impression!).
I’ve experienced some pretty wild moments in the wilderness, and it’s my mission in life to bring you face-to-face with the raw beauty of this natural world, whether on safari or through the screen.

What do I do?

How it all started
My journey began deep in the jungles of Bandhavgarh National Park, India, near my Grandfather’s home. He was a true nature lover, and he instilled his love for all things wild in me from a very young age.
At first, it was just a lifestyle; safaris were an adventure for me, a way to experience and film moments that only nature can create.
But then I met a tigress called Solo. I followed her for almost a decade, season after season, I kept going back to Bandhavgarh, and I watched her live her life like a true warrior, building her territory, facing dominant males and encroaching females head on, protecting her cubs, overcoming every challenge she ever faced, only to one day be defeated by humans-
One poisoned carcass and an entire family of tigers was erased from existence.

That changed my life forever
Solo’s life (and death) impacted me immensely. And I realized that Solo wasn’t alone. Countless animals in our shrinking jungles are suffering the same fate as her, and the only way to save them is to ensure that they have a space in people’s hearts and minds. I always say
"What we can see, we can love,
And what we can love, we will fight to protect."
So I started telling stories from the wild through my videos, then came the virtual safaris, and then eventually, in-person safari experiences that turned into Ameliya Safaris- the perfect combination of wildlife conservation and luxury travel.

A conservation-first, luxury safari company focused on providing intimate wildlife encounters and unique experiences with the highest level of service across India and Africa.
Conservation
In recent decades, many of the Earth’s vast wild spaces have shrunk to small pockets, putting significant pressure on wildlife, especially the ones that are already in a critical state, such as the tigers, rhinos, snow leopards, and elephants. Conserving these species is vital, as their survival is intricately linked to our own well-being.
My Goal? to protect, develop, and restore these habitats through the Ameliya Conservation Fund. Read on and click on the tabs to understand why we took up these projects and how they helped!

Habitat Redevelopment
Building waterholes for wildlife in water-scarce areas. We are proud of our three waterholes built in the periphery of Bandhavgarh National Park in Central India, which are home to 3, tiger families, in the home range of 5 leopards, 4 sloth bears, and thousands of herbivores and birds.

Anti Poaching
So far, Ameliya Safaris has electrified 175 Anti-Poaching camps with solar lamps, allowing rangers who up until then had no source of light during darkness, to work more effectively. We have also equipped rangers with 200 raincoats, 250 pairs of shoes, 200 bags, and 225 solar powered torches – all of which allows them to conduct their anti-poaching activities in a more effective manner.

Education
We believe that education is the backbone of wildlife conservation. Our efforts are focused towards communities that live in close proximity to wild animals and children who will be the torch-bearers of the future. We facilitate these efforts through timely donations to educational programs of organizations such as The Last Wilderness Foundation and World Wildlife Fund’s.
